Our Silshield silicone rubber materials combine excellent environmental protection with a high level of shielding effectiveness. These products incorporate a matrix of vertically oriented wires, which pierce both flat faces of the elastomer and provide around 100 contact points per square centimetre. These strong, extremely versatile materials are regularly used where a long service life and high performance are needed.
The materials, which include standard solid (SP Series) and sponge (SS Series) variants, flame retardant sponge (SG Series) and solid (SR Series) options and a Flurosilicone (SF Series) alternative, are produced in sheet or strip form and are usually factory fabricated and die cut into customised gasket profiles to suit individual customers’ requirements and specifications.
They can be supplied with a pressure sensitive adhesive backing or, if a groove or channel is available, can be supplied as a jointed ‘o’ ring without the adhesive backing.
